May i ask, regarding the Emergency model,if in fact you can buy one with no box/apparatus/etc and then buy the kit

after the fact???

I do own 2,of which i can count on 1 hand (no pun intended),how many times i've worn them.

They are completely original, with all gear associated to the watch, however, i've had friends' ask if they could buy one used, online,or at a store, etc

without the attache case and its' accessories,THEN go on to ebay or wherever and buy the kit after the fact.

Does the homing device work only with its' original equiptment,or,are they all interchangable??

Thanks in advance.

As was posted earlier, the kits come up on eBay on occasion separately. They are not unique - any tester will work.

Thank you very much my friend,i appreciate the help. :lingsrock:

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask,but also curious, given the expertise here,

if a previously owned model were to be purchased from private parties,do local stores/malls, selling the product,

have any issues servicing it for repair/check-ups/batt replacements/etc,or does one have to deal directly with Breitling,
assuming they purchased the watch 2nd-hand?

Thanks in advance!

Also, not to be a burden, but does one need to be concerned that the kits offered occasionally,by e-bayers/sellers/etc,also come available in "knock-off"

and must one take any careful pre-cautions that they are not purchasing a fake "kit"?

Thanks in advance. :lingsrock:

I've never seen a remotely convincing fake box set. The warranty / servicing can be handled by any AD or by Breitling directly.

Thanks again ROFF,most appreciated.

Lastly,is the case and its' accessories only for testing the watch

and not needed to be carried, if I am up flying for an afternoon?

I'm under the assumption, that one only needs to be wearing the watch itself,

in order to activate it, in case of emergency.

Thanks AGAIN in advance..

Correct, you only need the watch.

One thing that popped into my mind, I was offered one in part ex a few years ago where the transmitter HAD been used lol, personally with your watch, you don't even know whether it works, you could buy it, change ownership and get a big bill. Don't get me wrong , I love all the classic breitling tool watches, I think it was the golden age for breitling, but this is one watch I'm careful when buying. Just my view. Really wouldn't want you to get your ass bitten, that's all, nothing else.

Thank you again,I had tried that link, but can't seem to find a match to this particular

watch (A73322) and of the ones i see close to it,they only seem to list a span of years built

and no single year specific to this watch.

Anyone see anything out of the ordinary that should be cause for concern,

on this baby?

Thanks ..

The link that I posted was specific instructions for dating to the precise week of production. The watch is a real Emergency Mission that looks as it should.....

And this thread is now thoroughly off topic - sorry OP.

My apologies, but saw this thread and assumed it was for help pertaining

to this "Emergency" model watch..

Iwas surprised i got somone at the CT.office to be so helpful

and supplied me w/ build date and where purchased, plus, verified its' authenticty

and originating dealer,as well as the fact it isn't a stolen watch, which was nice and very impressive.

Carry on and thanks again folks..
