to me that 99% listings which are not removed are from countries other than UK and US.
Any time reports were made all of UK or US listings are removed promptly.
Today same thing happened.
All recent listings which are not removed yet are form Germany, Spain or Greece.
Is there a catch so they can't be removed from UK or US?
To me it seems so.

bnewbie, most of the pieces from Germany we report are removed promptly, actually the junk that sold last week was a rarity - I often report both on US/UK and the Germany site when junk is not promptly removed and did so with both the sold watch last week and the current Tourbillon junk.

There seems no really logical explanation that some watches are just allowed to get through - even with low feedback sellers.

You are probably right Fred, no logic there at all.

Question.

eBay has a direct link in which you can report fake items. It has no comment box and you can report up to 10 items in at once, using the eBay Item Number as the reporting agent. Would it be useful to list this number in the first post as well as providing this link? It is much faster and for forum members without a lot of time, it would allow them to report it, which arguably means more reports get filed on the same item, bringing in more attention.

Some forums even maintain a 'sticky' in which all of the 'to kills' are listed so users can do a Copy-Paste and report them more frequently and with less hassle (and is updated as auctions end/begin.

Experience suggests that reporting through the item with a meaningful description is much more effective. Additionally, in Europe there is an enhanced reporting program (now closed to new invitees I believe) where eBay provides high regard reporters with additional reporting capacity which some of our European members have.

I agree with you in that a description can be more useful, but that link would not exist if it did not have a purpose. If you get more people reporting then they are more likely to look at it. Not everyone has enough time to go through the steps of reporting the (many) models one-by-one. There are simply too many. While it may not be optimal, it would surely help and the time it takes is minimal. What I am getting at is that it is better than nothing.

The speed in which an item is pulled after being set up in this fashion is impressive. I've seen it first hand myself in that once an item was set up to be reported in a forum, it was always pulled shortly after. I'm not saying using a description is a bad thing, but having a faster system to increase the sheer quantity of reports is helpful.





Which is why I think adding this additional capability would be useful. Now you have both quantity and quality. More reports increase the chance the item is looked at.
