I love the textured finish of my aerospace!

Still like the old one mind!

Here's a real life picture of the newer dial. I actually like the added texture.

Hope no one is taking my opinion the wrong way. I think any of the newer version of the Aerospace are lovely watches.

My ideal Aerospace would be the new larger case size with the old style italicized lumed numerals. I get the feeling that this year they felt a change was needed and added the lumed smaller numerals to the dial. I would be more inclined to see all polished or lumed numerals vs the mixing of the two.

This is the new style I tried on in Fiji. I still don't own one yet. Cheapest I could get is $3600 in Brisbane. Going with the bronze dial when I'm allowed to spend. For some reason they just don't photograph real well. They always look better in the flesh.

A very underestimated watch - I too like the white dial.

The black & bronze are stunning also

Try get yourself a new old stock of the plain dial -

Just to add to this - there are still new old stock of the pre-pinstriped Aero around if anyone's interested.

The current/striped was announced for 2010, and there are various online reviews and opinions from browsers and buyers dating from the second half of 2009. But the old/plain-faced one was still being produced well into 2010, so it looks as if they hedged their bets on the production line, or used up stocks of the outgoing dial alongside the new, or something.

I'm in the same camp as the OP in unexpectedly falling for the Aero. I never looked twice at it in the Chronolog etc but some of the pics on the forum really caught my eye - more kudos to BS - and as someone who can't carry off the chunkier lings I love the slimmer profile and (dramatically) lighter weight. Some grumble about the crown operating all the functions but it felt pretty intuitive to me pretty quickly.

Are you wearing it upside down just for the photo??

I'm agreeing with OP on this one! Haven't seen the beauty of the aerospace before

That pic on here by SLRdude was formative in my looking at the Aerospace. It really made me sit up.

I, also, fell for the new dial. No regrets.
