Hi Everyone! I am new to the forum and excited to have my first Breitling Emergency. I love the process of trying to educate myself regarding all the little aspects of owning such a watch. With that said, I was hoping someone could clarify what my paperwork means. The watch was purchased from an eBay seller who had great reviews both there and here on the forum. I've attached a few photographs. I blurred out the serial numbers but they match on both the warranty card and the certificate. I still have to match the serial to the watch, though I may have to take it to a jeweler for that?

My question...What does it mean that there is no service information, AD stamp, dates, etc. on any of the paperwork? Shouldn't the paperwork have the original seller information, or anything? Does it matter either way?

Hi, nice watch! (its the same as mine )

Checking the serial number on the watch is easy, its on the case on the back. I can see it easily with my own eyes.

It's likely that its not had a service yet as its a newer Emergency. I'd check when the battery needs replacing and get it done at the correct time for the Emergency (you don't want it to stop working when you need it!).

It is a bit strange that there doesn't appear to be any seller information. My watch actually came from BUK, so has a Breitling UK stamp in the book.

Also, its hard to make out, but there doesn't appear to be a date on the warranty book which is odd.

What I would do is ring BUK up and tell them about it. They will be able to give you advice.

Also, if you haven't filled in the disclaimer yet ask for a form from BUK and get the watch signed over to you.

Not at all unusual to have blank papers, fairly common pracice for ADs to try and 'help' buyers by leaving them blank in case it fails just outside of the warranty period so that a later date can be filled in. It can cause problems with Breitling so trying to discover when the watch was originally sold will help. Previous post assumes that you are in UK hence advice to contact BUK, but contact any AD and they should be able to check with the local Breitling distributor and can also provide the papers needed to record the transfer of ownership for he transmitter. Note also that the first service on the Emergency is free.

Ah yes sorry, assumed you were UK.

I understand not filling in the date, but it doesn't look like there is an AD stamp in the book either?

Also not strange not to have the AD stamp in the warranty book.
I have some like that, just a signature.
Normally however they have the AD's name punched in the warranty book.
The main thing is that the serial numbers on the warranty card, the COSC certificate and on the back of the watch match.

Thank you! I would have had no idea the serial was on the case because it is so small, but found it. Everything matches up.
