Hi all. Greetings fron New Zealand. Looking for some help on this watch please.

Its a blue dial Breitling Etanche 30M in Stainless Steel. The serial number states A13024 7076

Date is at 3 oclock

Has the Breitling Symbol, then the word Breitling under that and 1884 underneath that all at 3 oclock next to the date.

3 mini sub dials, 1 each at 12 oclock, 6 oclock and 9 oclock

Large Arabic numbers in white on the inner with white hands

In between the arabic numbers is 2 minute markers and in between the 2 minute markers are smaller line markers for every 30 seconds

Running outside of the arabic numbers on the dial itself is the word "Base" and the number 60 at 12 oclock and the numbers starting at 60, 70, 80 runing anticlockwise through to 1000.

Blue Bezel with raised metal minute markers and numbers at 5 minute markers (5,10,15, 20 30 ect)

On rear case it states "Manufacture in Suisse Chronographe Etanche 30M" in a circle around back case cover and the serla number is next to the crown on the rear case cover.

I have tried to upload some photos but they dont seem to want to ulpload.

Any help to find out year, Value, if its quite rare (I believe it is), is it consider it to be a collectors watch and any other general info like how many in the production run, is it a limited run.

I did find the gold version of this similar model was limited to only 100 making that model very rare and a collectors watch. (however please do correct me if I am wrong) Any help would be greatly appreciated as I just cannot seem to find very much info on google ect.

My watchmaker has checked it over including the movement and said its genuine and in really nice condition. He thought it to be 1970's to 1980's vintage.

Also any other info would be great. Thanks
Dave

PS Any help on uploading and then I will upload some photos or maybe I can email someone and send the photos that way. Thanks.

welcome to the forum, happy to give you some info here.

Phil, it is a bit rare compared to the "Old Navitimer", though not vintage -
A13024 is a Navitimer "Aviastar", manufactured between 1996 and 1998.

model info here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... er_18.html
some background and pics here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/phpBB2/v ... =1&t=39656

nice watch, though not what you would define as "collectable".

I agree with you Fred, it is not the most common execution of the Navitimer.
In fact it was described by Breitling as " a Navitimer without the sliderule" , let me say a kind of revival of the Copilot. Not a great commercial success , it is the reason why Breitling stopped the diffusion after 3 years. IMHO quite nice looking in black, but a bit less in blue and awful in chocolate brown.
I have a dozen of modern Navi's in different versions , but this one would not be my cup of tea :?
