I've only been after the SA for about 3 years now, and today one turned up under the Christmas tree. Have both the SS Bracelet for formal wear, and a black leather strap for everyday wear. Already going nuts looking at getting a few other straps to add to the arsenal. Can't think of any other watch I'd rather have, grinning ear to ear.

Beautiful and that's great you have both straps :)

Did you know this was coming ?? (I assume so by the skilfully blagged breitling merchandise you got with it )

Congrats again - you have a very generous Santa in your part of the world !!

I was somewhat expecting it, though I thought it might take a few more months to actually happen. It was a bit of a combination gift for not only Christmas but also to celebrate earning my wings a few months ago as a pilot in the US Military.

Congrats! I love my SA, superb watch. Regarding what you posted and wearing the SS bracelet for formal wear, and I'm no style expert, but dress watches are traditionally on leather straps. The SA is so blingy, especially with the bracelet, that I think it would be more formal on the strap. I have worn mine (on bracelet) with a suit and it still looks great but the strap gives it a more toned down look. Either way, enjoy the gift and congrats on your wings.

Agree completely

Would look superb on a brown calf strap also for a stark contrast

Funny you say that, I ordered a gold-brown calf strap about an hour ago.

I tried on the black Arabic version on that exact strap at an AD a few weeks ago and it felt perfect

Good choice
