I talked with BUSA today. Their spec in nothing visalble under 2x. They would be happy to fix it, but I think I'm just gonna wait. I wanted them to know about incase it starts to chip or get worse.

There is no way it will get worse, its secure under the thick crystal :geekfuman:
Its nothing to be worried about but if it bothers you then ask for a dial replacement..

We are strange things at times us humans, and when it comes to something like Breitlings, or some other desireable object we can become obsessional. To some that obsession may sem strange, but for most of us we have all been there at some time or the other. You can try to bargain with yourself as much as you want, but I agree with the previous post. Just bite the bullet and have the dial replaced. In your heart and mind you won't be 100% satisfied until you do. It doesn't matter what anybody else thinks about how you feel, just do it and then you will be happy.

I've had 2 similar situations, both with Omega.

In the first case the letter N wasn't completely machined out in the word Planet on the case back. I owned the watch for about 2 years and never noticed it until some one pointed it out to me after I posted some pictures. It bothered me at first, but I soon forgot about it and let it be until the 3 year warranty was about to run out, at which point I sent the watch to Omega. They replaced the case back and gave it a basic service under the warranty.

In the second case, on a different watch, I noticed, under a 10x loope, that the applied number 2 at 12 o'clock has cracks in it. It initially really bothered me, but I don't notice it with the naked eye so I don't think it's worth it, at this point, to open the case to replace the dial.

If it bothers you, have Breitling replace the dial.

Hello all. Still on the fence about this. I think its going to be sent to BUSA on Monday. I talked with them and they said to send it in for eval.... i figure worst case its just $30 for shipping and a few weeks without the watch.

I think BUSA will do a great job on the repair, so Im not too worried about them doing more damage.

I'll let you know what they say when they get it mid next week.

Joe

Just got off the phone... watch is repaired... they said it was bonded dust, and it was removed.

They are doing QC on it and will ship it back early next week. :lingsrock:
