Although to first pic is a fake (Lume dots are off-centre), it seems to come with legit box and papers.

Yes I think you are right, maybe he has copied a stock pic of a fake off the internet, or is planning a switch.

Edit: Some of the pictures of the other (real) watch appear to be copied from this listing from June 2011:

I would have expected eBay to let that one go...the only things I saw that were minor differences were the lume dots, the 2, and the bottom chrono being too low. I'm guessing this is an unusually good fake? :(

Pearl should be smaller and more sunken, bezel stamping is also not great.
Date font is thinner a bit, but it is very hard to notice that.

It is.
Some specimens of this model look even better.

That's depressing...if they make ones that good, I imagine there are quite a few people out their with fakes that they believe to be a legit model?

What confuses me the most is why the people with these skills go into the world of conning. Clearly the person who made that has some talent. I would imagine someone with that level of skill could (quickly) become a big name in Breitling restoration, or 'modding' models such as the Seiko divers, and with forms like these, the dissemination of information on people who do good work is quite easy. :( :(
