IMHO the way rolex tapers the bracelet on the subc and even the dssd doesn't look the best visually......
BUT the glide lock clasp is the best/most comfortable bracelet in existence! Period! Basiclly the reason to buy one IMO...lol
My first "real" watch was a Breitling Motors T, which has a 24mm bracelet that tapers very little. While it was my only watch, and while it was all I was used to wearing, I'd laugh at all the guys wearing a "girl's" bracelet watch, aka a Rolex. I thought it looked way too thin for a guy. It took me around 3 years of going through different phases of what I liked in a watch and getting over all the negative misconceptions of owning a "Rolex". Once I was ready to own a Rolex, I couldn't get used to the chincy hollow bracelets and cheap clasps on the older generations subs. The SubC, though, feels like a watch should. Solid and well built.. Like a Breitling. Now that I've owned it over a year,The bracelet no longer feels too thin. As a matter of fact, the clasp is pretty tall so it adds a feeling of substance and heft. It's almost as beautiful, looking at it from the side, as the watch it self, because it doesn't flow into the rest of the bracelet, like most other watches, it stands apart, just like the watch head.
I agree with Crod, and basically everyone else, that the glide lock clasp is amazing. All watches should have one.
