When You visit the Basle fair, there is a large complex, a little bit away from the main complex, where all the chinese companies show their merchandise. There are hundreds of official chinese watchbrands/factories. They produce fakes, legimite copies (more or less) of watches (with their owen or a custom brand name) and a few have their own designs (yuck!). Years ago, they only used quartz or cheap asian design movements, but for the last years they have improved a lot. They are still far away from the standards of the swiss watch industry, but they keep improving.
