Where have you guys found the best deals for watches in the Caribbean? I'm probably going to head to Bermuda in a few weeks and I'm not reading much on deals down there. Where are the good islands for good prices on Breitling's. I think I need to add to my collection. =)

...in fact, some of the guys in St Thomas don't even discount. They claim the whole "Breitling audits us so we can't even give a dollar off these prices," mumbo-jumbo. It may be beneficial to go to your local AD(s) and price some out, try some on, get out the door pricing...and then go to Bermuda with those figures in mind and compare. You may not really get a better deal down there.

I must disagree with that, only from personal experience. I bought a Superocean 44 from the Breitling store in Nassau and was able to negotiate a price that was almost $400 lower than the two US AD's I deal with. Not huge, but enough to make me pull the trigger there rather than wait until we got back in the US.

You can absolutely pay for a trip wiith what you save at Caribbean AD vs a usa AD (even in Delaware with no sales tax). I got a colt auto for around 50% off and could have picked up a colt gmt for the same on a fighter bracelet. You should get ~30% off us prices. HK also is good ive been told for watches. Belgium good for diamonds.

AD prices I'm told are regional. Excuse spelling on a tablet traveling.

Edit preemtively took out prices -- is posting prices against forum rules?

I am in HK frequently and HK certainly used have good pricing for goods (especially luxury watches) but this certainly hasn't been the case anymore the last few years. All goods across the board have been driven up by strong buying from Mainland China and I haven't bought any luxury goods from HK in a while now.

I would have to agree to an extent that AD prices are regional. Even though there is no sales tax there, I've noticed that it is now cheaper to buy from the US than HK.

Interesting I only suggested that because of past stories from my grandfather.
