Very annoyingly my Colt Chrono 1996 edition was returned to Breitling in August with a broken end-link. It has taken them 3 months to find they don't have one as it is "obsolete".

My choice then is to wait for one to come up on the 'bay, or here; or get an aftermarket but decent one. Could you tell me where to look or suggest brands that approach the quality of the original?

Thanks in advance.

Ummmm. I had a good strap, it just broke whilst I was showing off. I'm asking about a replacement.

Yes, I may have misunderstood you, apologies, the watch did actually come with blue plasticky strap but it only lasted a year so I swapped it for the professional -which is now bust.

Honestly, I think if you aren't in a hurry you can find one on TimeZone or another forum, possibly eBay, at a pretty reasonable price given the limited market. eBay allows you to use search 'triggers' which perform daily searches and if a specified match is found it sends you an email telling you about it. Some forums allow a similar thing to be done. Posting WTB ads may also help. If nothing else works, you could even call local Breitling dealers to see if they happen to have one laying around somewhere that they would be willing to sell.

I believe the model you have has a 20mm lug width but I would check to be sure...if so, there are a lot of aftermarket bracelet options, but none are going to fit as well with the watch as the original. If you do not have any other strap currently, you can get good quality ones from a place like Strapped For Time made to Breitling OE specifications for a very reasonable price, which would give you something to use during the wait to find an OEM bracelet. They also have quite a few aftermarket metal bands at reasonable prices. If you wanted something a little higher end and customized, SFT makes custom straps, as does Stone Creek Straps, Kain Heritage, The Strap Smith, K-Straps, and many others.
