Ron, in his typical kind ways (his middle intitial must be S. for Salomon) has tried to end this thread on a positive note, so I'll try to follow him, maybe CivilLawyer meant "long sleeve shirt" and just shortened it to "long sleeve", which then ended up having a collar. Probably still not the most elegant position for a lapel badge.

   Fred please, I'm sure you meant Solomon as in "the wisdom of" said gent. And I agree, Ron has that indeed.

Salomon is something completely different..... although I know Ron has flown higher than the chap in this pic.

Salomon is Solomon - derived from Shlomo, king and son of David.
Quite the authority on that - my middle initial happens to be S.

 to that Fred. I was always under the impression Sulaiman was the other notation of Solomon but every day's a school day. Thank you sir.

I like these forums sometimes, and how we get from the bizarre of the "collar of a long sleeve" to something resembling intelligent conversation on Hebrew names.

Obviously. You cant get hot with short sleeves on. Maybe if you pin the collar down though...
