i figured i had to post this. recently or for a while now i have been going thru the bigger is better phase. its not that crazy since i have 8" wrists 6'3" tall.
so i started looking for 45mm + watches that were on the cheaper end for now. i came across oris. imho they are highly underrated. they are modified eta movements like a lot of other manuf. the watch came with a "divers kit". a pelican case, metal bracelet, natural rubber strap (smells like vanilla) and various strap changing screws/drivers etc. overall package is killer. titanium case/bracelet 49mm but wears a tad smaller because of case design.
anyway, the reason im posting is because of the accuracy. it sits on a wolf designs winder most of the time. i only wear it a few times a week if at all. the last time i set the watch to the master site i put a marker in my calendar. well much to my suprise it has been 60 days and the watch is 15 seconds fast. i dont know the exact cosc specs but i think thats pretty damn good for a " low end" base eta movement that is NOT cosc certified.
now, i might be off a second or two since its hard to get exact with a small seconds watch, but either way thats pretty good imho.. i highly recommend oris to someone looking for a great watch for the $$. they can be had at a considerable discount as well....
