Hey all,

I am really liking the Heritage Chrono, but I really dislike the available wristbands for it. The rubber/leather/steel mesh really doesn't do it for me. Is there a chance I could perhaps swap a band from a different line? I like the metal wristband that have links...

Thanks,
-Ben

You would need the correct end links, which would probably be unavailable. I dont like the mesh either, but I love the ocean racer rubber. Have you tried one on in person? Its really impressive.

You may (and I stress the word "may") be able to get away with a Speed bracelet on the SOHC, as the Speed has straight cut end pieces (and the right lug width), so you shouldn't have to worry about it contouring to the case. However, I strongly suggest you get a friendly AD to try it for you before you buy!!

I thought the Speed would fit the SA for the same reason, but when I tried it, it did fit, but not quite as nicely as I'd hoped. (There is a thread on here with pictures of that little test).

There was a guy on TZ that put a pro 2 on his Heritage 46 with the bronze dial. The end links obviously didn't fit, but I think it did look a lot better than the mesh or the ocean racer. In my opinion, if you got a black dial and put a black croc with the deployment buckle, that would be a pretty nice looking Breitling.

Why wouldn't other Super Ocean bracelets work for this? I do like the Speed bracelet for it, but it looks somewhat funny on the SA. And what does it mean that the 'end links didn't fit'? Do you mean that they didn't match, or did you mean that the guy had to modify the bracelet ends to physically fit between the lugs?

Superocean's lug width is different to the SOHC. The SO is 20mm (I think), while the Steelfish's is 22mm. The SOHC is 24mm.

In addition, the end links referred to are the shaped pieces that are closest to the watch case to make the fit 'look' right - even swapping bracelets from one model to another in the same range you need to consider that the end links may be different.

Of course all of this is irrelevant if the width between the lugs aren't the same, which as Driver8 points out is the case between the SO and the SOHC.

The SOH 46 is one of the classiest watches in the Breitling lineup. I feel certain the SOH Chrono will be the same. The black is just awesome...

Has anyone here ever tried the SOH 46 on Pro II?

I think someone did that in a quite recent thread - you should be able to find it with the search function. I believe the conclusion was it was possible, but not a complete fit.

I like the look of the SOH on the pro 2, but I don't believe it fit right from what I recall someone posting.

It doesn't. I made some modifications to make it work for me. Now it sits perfectly. :D
