OK so I was lying! I don't actually hate the Chronolog at all...... In fact my problem is the exact opposite!!!! Everytime I open the damn thing I find myself spending (in my mind at least) more cash than is really sensible!

As of today I need the following (Note, it's not "want", it's "NEED"!!) :-

1. A black dial SS Montbrillant Legende.
2. A Superocean Heritage Chronographe on black leather.
3. Maybe a white dial/baton marker SA on the bracelet (yeah, I know I've just sold a white dial/arabic's SA, but I think I need a baton model now too! ).
4. Maybe a white dial SS Chronomatic 49 on black leather.

.......and now I've just come to the conclusion that I've really got to have a gold model of some description too! WHERE DOES THIS COME FROM!! :?:

Maybe a red gold Chronomatic 49, or a red gold Navitimer World.... or perhaps a rose gold Bentley Motors T (if I could find one). Any of them would be on brown croco to keep a modicum of taste about the proceedings.... but it's still not going to be cheap!

I think I need professional help!

believe me, i've lost my self for hours in the 'chronolog', usually late at night.

its funny how ones preferences always change with each read but a solid gold breitling (any model) has always been a dream.

Um, well, er, I can help with the gold ones

I tried on a gold Flying B Chrono at my AD a few weeks back - oh my!

I've always thought I'd get a gold Olympus at some point, but now that the Complications 19 is incoming, that likely won't happen so I 'have' to find a new gold one to aspire to

I have to agree - it's too easy to spend an extra couple of grand every time you open the damn thing.

I completely understand you Driver. And as if the Chronolog wasn't bad enough, there's this place that gives "tips" and "hints" on watches. I'm too weak...

Hopefully something is incoming the next week. :D

Mmmmmm...........

I was quite happy with my old Aerospace until I found this bl**dy forum - now I've added another 2 keepers in a few months. Want to add another 2 by the end of the year too!

Driver8 - it was an EXTRA couple of grand EVERY time you open the book - that adds up if you have a quick look and upgrade your choice a couple of times a week.

I really enjoy this forum and feel quite at home with the rest of the nutters here. That said it's not a safe plce to hang around - bad for the bank balance!

I'm changing jobs next week and will be back on the road again. Having spent a year at home on cr*p money I'm going back to working away so will double my income straight away. That means that I can start planning the next purchases so am looking forward to the next few months.

One problem is that I'll need to get a dongle for my laptop so I can access the forum and get my daily fix.

See what you've done to me! :D

aleister - Congrats "King of Ling" - I just noticed, you're a busy boy!

Poor, poor Driver,

So you're just now finding out that the Chronolog is really a creation of Satan, sent up from Hell to sway us weak mortals into spending every cent we have on something as inconsequential as watches?!

Of course, you need another Super Avenger, of course, you need a solid gold piece, of course you need every damn watch in the
book. That's what He  wants you to think. That's what He wants every one of us to think. But we're stronger than that that, Driver -- you're stronger. :)

Don't give in to the foul siren's lure found in those pages. Fight it! Fight it as if your very soul were at stake (maybe it is). Now, while you have the strength, take the evil tome out of your house. Douse it in gas and set it ablaze. Only the purity of fire can cleanse you of the devil's verse found
in those unholy pages.

Do this for the rest of us, Driver, those who weren't strong enough
to set ourselves free. We will pray for you.

Steve

In no particular order:

Super Avenger Limited (on order already)
Super Avenger Black Dial
Super Avenger Blue Dial
(see a pattern here) ;)

Navitimer World (Blue on Blue Croc or Black on Black Croc)
Bentley 6.75 or Motors

I'm certainly glad I don't have any signs of this affliction you all speak of . I feel you can never look at the Chronolog too much as long as you show a modicum of self control.

I bought my first Breitling early in July and with the greatest forbearance waited until the third week of July before purchasing a second one.

So turning to the next page of the Chronolog..., Oh, look at that...something in titanium...Hmmm...yellow dial ?

Chronomat White dial
