After looking at the model list on the home page, there are two reference numbers for this watch. What do the two different models look like? What are their differences?

I think this is a very interesting watch.

Here you can see and read more of the different Cosmonautes.

Seems the 12021 was the first edition, made in 100 pieces for Japan while the 12023 was made in (less than) 3000 pieces.

Correct, the A12023 is the one that you will be seeing around - the Lemania manual wind.

There are a number of slight variations on the A12023 - some 17, some 18, some nickel wheels, some brass, some delrin brakes, some metal (though all were delrin originally).

It is an amazing watch - was my dream Breitling until earlier this year - now it's one of my favourite to wear

Well I was going to put some pics of mine up, but after Ron's post - I don't think I will - I can't compete with that

This is a watch I could look at all day - and I do get some strange looks when I have it off my wrist staring at the back of it.

Thanks for all of the info. The cosmonaute is on my short list for sure, and I am fascinated by the display back. Especially since it is not too common of a Breitling feature. I also love that this watch (well not that specific one) actually was worn in space.
