Well it's fundamentally real, should be from '67. Photos of the movement would help and the watch has an aftermarket crown and is missing a pusher.

Slide rule looks in exceptional condition for it's age, might this be a replacement ?

no, fading of the orange accents is consistent w/ the dial, actually quite a lot of fading there. nice watch, most probably 1967, as Roff said.

67 or 68, can't say for sure as you have covered the serial number. Would still like to see the movement, but same answer as before - fundamentally OK.

I never noticed before the shape of gold case lugs,very different from SS case .

I think it would sell in the $4K to $5K range on ebay with no reserve. The damage to the back will lower the value by at least $1k.
