Can someone recommend a trustworthy gray dealer that sells Breitlings in the Miami area? I am looking at purchasing a SA, seawolf, or even a chronomat if I can find one for the right price.

If anyone has a reason to not go with a gray dealer versus an AD, please tell me this also. Looking for help from the experts.

Thanks,

Tom

Onr of the forum sponsors (Provident) is an FL based AD, PM member FEAR.

My experiences with grey dealers have not been the best.

Not true at all, most grey market pieces are brand new. It's more usual for a secondary market dealer (used watch seller) to have used watches and they could have any kind of history depending on where they sourced it.

True, but virtually unheard of these days.

I agree with most of that, but your statement that "At best, the unit will have been serviced with non-Breitling parts and may not have been serviced at all" was simply untrue, which is what I said.

A small percentage of watches may be returns to ADs who have then sold on to grey, and grey dealers will resell their own returns, but by far the majority of grey markey watches are brand new from ADs who have sold them in order to hit sales targets and maintain cashflow.

I may be overly biased in this arena due to my own experiences.

Guys, Thanks for feedback. I agree now that going with a gray dealer is a bad idea. I will contact the forum sponsor. Thanks again for the feedback. I am debating between the SA and a Seawolf. This watch would be a daily wear and for that reason I am leaning towards the Seawolf.

I purchased from swissluxury.com for one of my super avengers and one from watchmaxx.com and a third from amazon.com all with papers box and certificates and brand new pieces. My 4th super avenger on eBay from a guy who purchased it from jomashop.com 3 months before I bought it from him. Saved about an average of $1,500 off each from retail price.
