I think you missed the point of the thread, specifically the standard set by the OP. This is supposed to be a "self centric" (not the phrase I would have chosen!) thread in contrast to an earlier greatest watch thread.

Oh well, welcome to Breitlingsource even if your 4th post just called us all self centered.

Duh...I totally missed that the first time I read this thread. OP says "What's the greatest watch ever made, for you?" I may need to rethink my position. I love my Sub, but I have to admit it's not 100% perfect...for me.

When has self centric ever been offensive? Either as a comment or as a state of mind? Especially in a thread asking for a subjective, personal opinion?

So, nothing to get all heated up about... Nor a reason to pick up a coat for that matter... Except if it rained, that'd be another story.

OK, let's see if I can get it right this time.

The greatest watch ever made for me would have to be . . . the new 42mm Rolex Explorer II with polar dial.

Why?

1. Perfect size for my wrist and very comfortable

2. 3187 movement is arguably Rolex's finest

3. Dial is among the easiest to read of any I've ever seen

4. Larger crown (vs. 16750) is easy to grasp and turn (I've become kind of a crown snob)

5. Hey, it's a Rolex!

I like your thinking, in fact, as hard as I try not to, I can hear that watch sing to me... It just has something...
