OK guys, I felt bad about not taking pics the last time, so as my white dial SA is leaving the building this very afternoon (to be replaced by something that I will have pictures of soon!), I decided to re-do the Speed bracelet test that I first tried a few weeks ago.... but this time with pictures! :woohoo:

So here is one head on. Looks good so far.....

And now here is one on it's side. Still looking pretty damn hot IMHO.....

Now here is one on the wrist. Hmmmmm, notice how the bracelet sticks out further past the lugs before it starts to curve round the wrist. Not so sure now...

Here's a close-up of what I mean....

And lastly, here it is demostrated most clearly....

So as I said in the original thread - does it fit? Yes and no. Yes it attaches without any nasty gaps, but IMO the end pieces protrude too far for it to look right. If you had MASSIVE wrists you might get away with, but for me I don't think it's quite there. Shame as I have to say it gives the SA a totally different look. I reckon that if you could put a Speed on a new baton marker SA it'd be the nearest we're likely to get to a large Chronomat. Anyway, gotta fly to catch the jewellers!

I like it. Thge speed bracelet is one of my favs, and it matches the SA nicely.

Driver,

It's a shame you're going to part with such a lovely
piece. Frankly, I think it looks great on nearly any wrist,
large or small. I'd love to have a watch that size sitting
on my 9.5 inch wrist (one advantage to being fat, I guess).
Someday soon I'm going to post a picture of my Skyland
perched atop my MASSIVE wrist -- just for all you slim-armed
chaps to envy:-)

Anyway, ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Good luck :)
Steve

I agree the SA does look great on any wrist on either the Pro II or a strap, but it feels very odd with the end pieces of the Speed protruding past the lugs. I'm not holding the end piece out in the last picture - it's fixed like that. That's the only problem with.

Anyway it's now history and my new baby is here! Pics will follow soon...

It's a shame - that does look good, if only it fitted better between the lugs. I think that would get annoying pretty quickly for me.

Shame it had to move on, but at least you still have the black SA, and I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of the new arrival.

Pity, it does look good on the speed.
Ok, so what have you bought now? It must be special to give up the SA!!

Good to see you got the 6.75 Driver. And also nice to see the pics at last - now I don't have to do it myself...

I agree - it looks good, but that little "bulging" thing would be the killer decision.
