Perhaps the "Unofficial" part of the Breitlingsource logo could be conscrued as problematic but maybe a middle ground could be found.
That word is required as I understand it. Admin has had to deal with letters from lawyers since day 1. Roff would best know about the problems with a BS Breitling LE. Frankly, those refusals came at a time when most everyone was singing Breitling's praises. I suspect the odds have diminished in the last couple years.

The unofficial part fo the logo and indeed the change since the original logo is (as I understand it) and attempt to keep Breitling lawyers happy.
There was an official submission for a BreitlingSource LE through the same process as is used for the military. Breitling 'officially' failed to respond to the request for an LE, unofficially I was advised that they didn't want the bad press of saying no, but also didn't want to directly associate themselves with the site. I was told that in some ways that's because of the rather more tolerant approach to what is discussed here relative to some other sites - both regarding Breitling (discounts for example) and non watch related topics (opinions that Breitling wouldn't want to be associated with).
That was a while back, and perhaps their views have changed now - I am sure that the site ownerwould listen to any communications and Breitling certainly knows how to reach him!
