I'm very familiar with the fact that Breitling chronographs are somewhat imposing in size, that complications necessarily take up space within the case. I'm not real enthusiastic about bulky watches but I'm very covetous of a particular pre-owned Breitling available through a reputable eBay vendor. I'd like to know its actual dimensions, especially the thickness. I'm looking at a Chronograph Evolution model A13359. Can anyone out there let me know the case measurements?

The Chronomat Evolution I'm familiar with was made around 2005-2007 and had a reference # of A13356 I believe. It had a case diameter of 43.7mm, case thickness of 17.1mm, weight of 120 gr., and lug width of of 22mm.

Someone else may know what the A13359 is.

What size is your wrist? I've loved Breitlings for years and was always weary about size as my wrist is only 6.5 inches. The 43.7mm Evolution wears very well tho

The key dimension is 53mm lug end to lug end. This is what created issues for me and my challenged wrist with the Evo and Blackbird. If you have any concerns, look for a mint early Chronomat in the 40mm size. Very high on my list of all time Breitling models.

There's no such Breitling as A13359, any more than there is a Chronograph Evolution - the seller didn't know what they were talking about in the eBay listing. Watch is real though!

Ah, no wonder it puzzled me, thanks for clarification.

To OP, lug length (as Sharkman indicated) and thickness tend to be constraints for me.

if only i had your "problem". lol. u can pick just about any watch brand and find something. with 8" wrists i try to stay at 45mm and above. which severly limits my choices.....

Breitling Fanatic...what watches do you have if you don't mind me asking. I recently picked up a SOHC and while originally worried about the stated size (46cm) I have to say that I love the size, weight, feel, and look of the watch. Pictures don't do it justice, i was dead set on a Chrono Cockpit before actually going in to an AD and trying one of these on and it was love at first sight. In fact i've all but written off the cockpit now because i don't think i would want to go that small (39.5 i believe?) though i do love the look of the watch. Probably seems thicker than it is visually because of the relatively small (in terms of chrono) case diameter.

Craysbrook, if you haven't actually gone to an AD and tried watches on, you may be in for a surprise when the watch arrives and you try it on. I know in my case looks and pictures were deceiving. I looked at a LOT of SO and Chronographs and I have to say that I think 44cm is the smallest i will go. Speaking of which...i've already got the itch for a black-dialed steelfish!

With a 6.75" wrist my daily wearer now is the Chrono Cockpit blue dial with some personalization and I find this watch perfect with the 39 mm diameter (actually maybe even a tad smaller but official data is 39 mm, while definitely looking smaller because of the bezel). My next purchase will nevertheless be the Chronomat 41 Blackeye-Blue dial, actually the perfect size for a daily wearer. So I can only agree with the 40 mm Chronomat advice.
