Anyone ever wash their watch like the breitling website says to do? If so how would you know when the watch isfully dry before using the bessle or the pushers?

never knew that there was a portion on the breitling site that discussed cleaning your watch.

when i clean i do it like most others, soft tooth brush and some soap. scrub, rinse, dry....thats it

A：Some users may feel that the metal bracelet get clogged up after having worn it for some time; this is the result of the accumulation of dust and bacteria in the bracelet, this may irritate the skin and in turn tarnish the case. To avoid such deposits, it is important to periodically clean the case and metal bracelet, for example with a toothbrush and liquid soap, and then rinse them in fresh water and dry them with a soft absorbent cloth, and dry it with a blower."

For non-sterling stuff, I generally use this:

I just scrub the heck out of it with the exception being the top glass given it does have an external coating...so I use water and am very gentle with that. I generally give it at least half an hour after hand drying before working any buttons or screwpins.

The only thing which I'm not sure of is if it is occasionally wise to lubricate the pins given it is metal-on-metal contact. It seems people are still debating as to if its worth it or note, and it seems to be overkill given the points of contact aren't flexing dramatically, but I've read some people who are pretty passionate about it.

Once a week, primarily to rid the bracelet of dirt, grime and DNA.

My CA is the only one that I wash often, as it's the one that sees the true rough service. Toothbrush with water and soap, dry it with my towel...not rocket science. Getting the dried concrete off takes some prodding from time to time, I like to use a piece of plastic of some sort to scrape. It gets a real nice bath at the jewelers when I stop in there or when it goes in for service.

Soap and a toothbrush. Dont use the pushers for a couple of hours to be safe. And if you do, its probably not the end of the world.

Hi

If its a bracelet then I ultrasonic it for 30 mins, and on the watch its self I get a dry brush and slowly brush it.
I hate when the watch looks dirty.

Exactly the way I also do it.

Never thought of drying it with a blower. Good advice all round though.

Couldn't that cause water to be pushed into the pushers when blow drying??

You'd need one hell of a blowdryer and to actively be using them at the same time. But honestly, a blowdryer isn't needed (and probably not a good idea for any leather/skin types). With how the Pro2 and Pilot are put together as individual pieces of metal put together to form the links, it makes it easy to dry given you wrap it in a terry towel and flex it a bit and almost every area of metal has been in contact with the rag and is dry. Even if you put in on your wrist wet, it's link design gives it multiple open vents on every link and so it dries really fast. I only wish other watchmakers did bands did this so nicely...

I use Veraet on all my watches. It's the best.
