I started my watch obsession with Invicta before I knew better. I then found WUS and TZ,. Invicta and I quickly parted ways.

I had an Invicta diver that would fog up in the shower!

I know a lot of people that love Invictas because they think they are getting a great "value" for the price because of the large discounts on the artificially inflated MSRPs. And I fell victim to this myself once and bought it to use as an extreme beater for when I knew a watch was going to get banged up. Knowing what I know now about the way the company does business it makes me wish I had bought a bottle of wine instead of wasting that $80 :) Needless to say, that thing has been collecting dust for years now and has not been touched and probably never will again

Citizen makes some perfectly fine autos, many of them for under $200. Citizen vs. Invicta is a no-brainer . . . Citizen every time.

I was actually looking for a video from the shopping channel. Can't remember exactly what happened, but think the watch broke during the segment. Couldn't find that video, so this is all I got.

ShopNBC actually mistakenly left that one on their website a while before they realized and took it down. The watch fell completely apart. It was hysterical.

Do you know how long ago that was? I think it was only a few months back I seen it on WUS, so still might be floating around.

Yeah, that is it - just a few months ago.

Citizen kills Invicta (as does Seiko). Their sub $200 autos are the diving watches, right? IIRC the Signature and one line below it are the fancier automatics with complications that would compare to Invicta's fancier stuff. I think most people go Invicta because they like the 'show'...I doubt they care about the driving force behind it. I'd get any Citizen over them...auto, Eco, or quartz
