With all this negitivite that is floating around lately lets get back on track and get praising the greats and the reason we are all here BREITLING. Look, even with the lack of love for the newer watches I have a feeling that when time passes, current favourites date and we get used to the current offerings most may warm to them making the classics date even more.

Anyway back on track nominate your greatest Breitling ever be it vintage or recently discontinued or the newer in-houses. Cast your vote and I shall soon do a pole on them.

Me, as a owner, I would go the Chronomat 13352 39mm with that great Pilot. That said if the Top Time had been full auto instead of a manual wind it may have topped my list but then what about the Navi's  Best stick to the 13352 I guess, so it gets my vote

So what's your?

Here's a thread of mine from a while back and I'll stick by my top one - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=29387. I might revise that list now with the TransOcean Chrono under cnsideration, but #1 would be the same.

So one for the Navitimer 806.

I remember your post Roff and enjoyed reading it. Thanks

And to go back to my thread that Roff was kind of replying to with his (can't believe that was over a year ago now!) - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=29313 - I would probably revise a couple of my top 10. I would have to include the latest Navitimer 1461 LE (the 46mm version) in the top 5, and in actual fact, the TOC would jump from 3rd to first place on my list, pushing the Navi 01 down to second purely on account of it's size.

So for me it's currently (until Breitling make that 46mm in-house Navi World I so desperately want! ) the Transocean Chronograph. Yes, yes I know there are far more iconic watches out there - the 806 for example - but vintage watches just don't really yank my chain. I like the vintage look, but I like modern build quality and the "un-used" look!

I am sure the in-houses will get a good show and like I say above you can bet your bottom dollar that the current offerings will become iconic in the future.

Surprised you went with the TOC D8, but that's what is all about Breitling love from the 806 to the TOC in two posts!

For me it is either the Super Ocean Heritage line or the Breitling Transocean (non-chrono). I like the clean lines. Although I admit I do like me chrono-cockpit as well.

I don't see how you can pick anything other than the Navitimer. It's the most iconic of all Breitlings. There might be a couple I personally like better, but the Navi gets my vote.

Greatest Breitling has to be a Navitimer.
I've owned two and loved them both. Next probably a Chronomat. Somehow, however, this one's had the most enduring hold on me.

My vote is for tranocean chronograph. Classic styling, stunning looks, very comfortable watch to wear.

I am excluding the vintage pieces i know so little about. I would go with a tie (yeah, I know it is a copout). The Navi 01 LE black dial and the 39mm Chronomat. Purely coincidence I own them both.

I'd nominate Roff's #6... the Serie Speciale Lemania Cosmonaute... beautiful Cossie, great movement on display, 24 hour face and navitimer styling... great combination of classic styling, limited edition uniqueness and history with the Scott Carpenter association. A great summary of Breitling for me.
