Hey guys,

wanted a vintage breitling to get restored and hopefully give to the father in law.
not as an expensive gift but just as something that had some history to it. (his that type of guy.)

can you tell me what i have purchased

1951 serial number with Geneva on the dial is the kiss of death (Breitling didn't move to Geneva until 1953).

China has been producing 2914 cases for a few years and that's likely where this came from - sorry.

Your looking at the Chrono dates again Roff. :wink: This one correctly dates to 1956 so should be fine.

Oh crap - that'll teach me to look at these late at night, you're right.

Chinese have been producing 2914 cases though, but this is likely fine with that dial as the Chinese would have redone it.
