Just finished our 2012 White Marlin Open tournament. We managed to catch the 2nd place shark in the tournament.

I can! How was the tournament this year? I was down OC last weekend right as it was heating up at the Marina with a bunch of buddies. The tournament is always such a good time (I forgot to get a shirt this year )

It was different. A good number of whites caught but only one made the minimum weight and no blues made minimum. We had to fish 3 days in a row due to the weather which kinda stinks. We weren't very lucky with the whites this week. Released one, lost one to broken line, 1 to a broken hook and jumped off several more, one of which was a nice fish. Some one is happy right now with a white worth some $1.5million since he gets 1st,2nd,3rd in both the white and blue category.
Shark isn't the most glamorous thing to weigh in the tournament but it's always a rush to pull into the scales.
