ive been kicking around the idea of maybe getting a pre owned/ LNIB super avenger if the price was right.

i just want to avoid buying a gray market watch.

what is supposed to be on the warranty card? there is one for sale on here that shows the card dated, but no dealer name or stamp? isnt it usually the other way around sometimes if the AD is trying to "extend" your warranty etc but not writing the exact purchase date?

just trying to have all the info i need to get a legit watch.

this super avenger specifically. viewtopic.php?f=3&t=38902

Not uncommon for an AD to forget to stamp, but in this case if you look at the perforations it says USA Breitling, in other words it's a BUSA sourced piece that never went to an AD.

My ADs have all told me they don't even have stamps anymore. Not suggesting other ADs may not still do that. If the card is dated or, if undated, you need to know the date of sale.

There is nothing untoward about the watch you linked - looks fine. I'm lucky if my AD even writes in the date. Typically I do it knowing the date matches with the date of sale on the registration card the AD sends to BUSA. That is all that matters. Plus that watch was purchased directly from BUSA, not an AD, so there wouldn't be a stamp. That watch is just fine.

It is very, VERY uncommon for a watch from a gray market dealer to even have the warranty book - they dump them. Otherwise, they are "outing" their source AD, who will likely lose the right to sell Breitlings.

The perforation indicating "Breitling USA" means it was bought directly from BUSA. Otherwise it would have the name of AD in perforations.

The watch never went to an AD, that's all that you can tell from that - could have been a warranty replacement, donated piece for a charity event, who knows. Perhaps a question for the seller.....

No. Not a chance. If someone sent in a watch under warranty and BUSA agrees to replace it then the new watch likely comes with only the BUSA name.
