I've gotta say, but I don't mind that all that much! Sure there's a few naff looking parts, but there's also some quite nice innovation in there too IMHO. I won't be buying one in a hurry (or slowly for that matter!), but I've seen a lot LOT worse.

(Or maybe I'm just odd!)

It looks like it's trying a bit too hard to me - over the top for the sake of it.

However, it certainly doesn't make me ill and if it had a 'better' name on it I think that it would be viewed much more positively.

As driver mentioned the crown idea and retracting pushers is kinda cool.

But yeah... That's all I'm gonna say.

I agree with JacksonStone on this one. It's utterly disgusting - reminiscent of those god awful Zenith Defy pieces from a few years back, but way way worse. I'd rather kiss a female Olympic weight lifter than put this on my wrist.

I think it's less ugly than some of the red bezel offerings from Breitling.

This was my exact thought when the video started. I can't believe they let trash like that into Baselworld.

That watch is disgusting. I can't believe we're actually discussing that an Invicta might not be "that bad."

Hence my comment about it being perceived differently with adifferent name on it (and I liked the Defy Xtremes  )

In terms of Basel, it's the watch, watch related (and to some extent jewellery) show of hte year for the industry so any brand will pay to be there, and whether we like it or not Invicta is a legitimate watch brand.

It's a fair observation, and probably right, but if people were reacting positively to this watch were it a Zenith (or whatever), my reaction would be similar, only my comment would include mention of gold plated dog turds.

If it had Hublot on the dial (and it almost could) it would still be ugly. But sadly there's a market for that kind of stuff and I don't begrudge Invicta for tapping it.

*shudders*

I agree... I half expected it to turn into a Dragon Ball Z episode when I saw that drawing... looks like the dragon balls combined to form a watch :S
