Hi All,

Long time no see.

Been stupidly busy looking after my Dad and working. However, I had a bad cold this week, so I wasn't at work for two days and I wasn't allowed to see my Dad, who's still vulnerable to catching such things.

What better way to see off the summer cold blues than writing an overdue new review.

This time I went for something completely different.

Please find below a review on the technical marvel that is the Seiko EPD. This is a £1250 digital watch. Please bear with me as I try to explain why this is definitely worth considering.............

http://www.andrewmichaels.co.uk/blog/se ... atch-ever/

As always your comments on the watch and constructive criticism on the review are very welcome.

Interesting read!

Not sure if I'd go for one myself, but the gadgetry does intrigue me. My wife is getting a Pebble watch when they are released next year, so if She likes that we might look at this Seiko for her

As always, a very good and eloquently put together review there Ricardo.

That said, the watch itself does absolutely nothing for me personally. Display resolution and steel case/sapphire crystal aside, I'm pretty sure my 3 atomic/solar G-Shocks do everything this Seiko does, and more..... like a stopwatch for example. Plus I'm not at all sold on it's looks. Your wrist shots make it look better, but on it's own it just screams "computer nerd" to me..... just step up from the calculator Casios the real nerdy kids had when I was about 10.

The price isn't far short of being £1000 too much IMO.

(Still a good reveiw though!)

Great review Rick as always, but much as I like weird watches I'm afraid I wouldn't wear that if it was free - leaves me completely cold.

Great review. But the watch itself is more Psycho than Seiko.

Total James Bond watch, à la Roger Moore, circa The Spy Who Loved Me. One of the best Bond movies ever, but perhaps the nadir of Bond's watch fashion.

Anyway, thanks for the review. It was definitely worth a look.
