Ok 6850E, 8350$, 5350GBP or in lay man's terms Sub C. money!

I would go Sub C. again in a heartbeat but I already picked one up this year so that got me thinking where would I go if I didn't.

I really dont know!

Where would you go?

I got all excited with a title referencing spending 6.85 million :poke:

For that kind of money or less I've picked up a Romain Jerome, Louis Moinet, Franc Vila, Gerald Genta and a few others. All great value for money and so much more interesting (to me) than a Sub C.

the pieces you mentioned are definitely more "unique" than the sub c. but in terms of timeless classic I think that most people would say the subc is in a league of its own. no disrespect the GG the guy did create some amazing designs for PP, AP and breitling.

:huh

What the heck did Gerald Genta do for Breitling???

And I would say that his Royal Oak design has proved to be a rather good 'timeless classic'.

first of all, I'm going pre owned. You can do some serious damage with that amount of money. next question is are we talking about 1 watch for more than 1? if it's 1 watch, with my present collection I'd go looking for a pre owned vc overseas 3 hand, black. not easy to find, but I think you can get 1 at that dollar range. if we are talking more than 1 watch the mind boggles, but I could do some serious value shopping. I would need to think about that for a while.

I would probably go with the new Transocean 1461 or look at a JLC model if you wanted an in house movement.

Not with this amount! TO 1461 on Croco 8750 Euro! and on steel 8650!

Also one or two nice watches.... maybe three at a push.

I'd go second hand, either a JLC Deep Sea or a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.

I'd go for a second hand Hublot or a Blancpain fifty fathoms
