Apart from fire the current design team that is!

Seriourallsy what could they do better?

The design of the Sub. over the last 50 year or so has not changed that much and for some reason that works for Rolex. Just look at the sales of the things and the resales for that matter.

From the current line up the CCII and the the Navi 01 are the only ones that I have a mild interest in picking up BUT that leads me to another major problem, the deprecation I'd take as soon as I would walk out the door. Breitlings are notorious for the hit they take and with the current ridicules pricing they have I am definitely out of the new Market.
I try only by new and if doing so I would only buy in ADs but I do not like the fact that a Grey market watch could potentially be picked up a lot cheaper than a AD one.

Would strictly controling stock distribution like Omega and Rolex help?

Better branding? JT  and FF  oops Breitling :watchout: :nono:

Stream line their collection?

So apart from silly designs which may or may not grow on us what could Breitling do better?

Rehire their old design staff! ;) ....and bring back the old designs. The new Breitlings just don't look like Breitlings to me anymore. :(

In the meantime, I'm sticking with my old and outdated CWS...

I'm waiting for market saturation in Asia, which is showing signs of it's impending arrival already as luxury sales across the boards are down.

Then we will see who becomes the primary market again.

:yeahthat The real Blackbird has been discontinued. All that's left is a ridiculous hodgepodge LE version that is a shameless attempt to fob off leftover parts on an unsuspecting customer base.

If this keeps up, Admin might have to rename this website BreitlingElegy.com.

Oof. I know I'm in the minority big time but I really like breitling lately. I love the font on the new bezels and I love what they have been coming out with recently. (TOC's and alike)

I have two HUGE gripes with them because it actually affected my purchase last year. I hate how the new Chronomat GMT was built for people with 18" wrists, and how they completely bungled the blackbird. The bb used to be my favorite.

I could probably write an essay on this, but in a nutshell I think they should've made the decision to slowly evolve their designs over time (maybe not quite as slowly as Rolex), and not gone the strangely haphazard and disjointed route they've taken recently.

The newer models that work (for me at least) are the TOC, the Navi 01 and (bezel aside) the Chronomat 01, and all of those are an evolution of previous designs that just worked.

As it looks, the first improvement Breitling could make is simply stop trying to do better.
Just don't do anything and it will not get any worse at least.

Breitling still made some models that i like in the last years like the new cosmonaute, the navitimer 01, transocean, the chromat gmt 47 also cool (not the bezel..bahhh) and 1 or 2 blacksteel models

the rest is pure garbage imo so i am turning my attention off breitling for a while and on to an omega 9300 chrono :)

Not trying to be the devil's advocate but but has it ever occurred to us that Breitling might be trying to strike to balance and coming out with the racy models aimed at the younger generation and maintaining some traditional designs for us old farts?
After all there is quite a sizable target audience amongst today's "yuppies" (and I don't use this term in a derogatory way) with lots of money to spend and very different tastes.
A great example is fashion. I would not be seen dead in some of the quite expensive clothes you see these days yet it is perfectly acceptable on the younger members of today's society.
Maybe we are just getting old :-(
