Congrats!! I enjoyed your journey. Good luck with the baby. Your renovation project will seem like cake compared to the sleepless nights to come!! Just kidding. It's the best thing ever. Here's a tip: make sure your wife breast feeds. This way even if "you want" to get up in the middle of the night, it'll be pointless because you can't feed the baby. Lol.

Today was a great day, all the glass arrived without issues and we have all the frames mounted, glass will be put in in the morning. I was very reluctant to shell out how much I did on these doors and windows, I could have bought myself a nice Rolex for what they cost - however, having them in situ now I don't regret it for a second. They ooze quality, and the mechanism for the bifolds is buttery smooth, really is.

The hall / stairs have also been carpeted today.

And I started to try and make sense of my snakes wedding of an av cupboard!

Morning all, no baby yet so progress has been rapid. The glass went in without any issues and there really isn't that much left to do now. The rendering is the biggest remaining job but that's weather dependant and it's not great at the moment.
Tilers have been back to tile the outdoor step down to the decking

Kitchen worktops have been templated and will be going in today :-) can't wait for that!
Here's a few panoramas to give you in idea of where we are ( still need to build a frame around the fridge / oven)

Tonight is the first night I'm actually relaxing in my own lounge with a beer, that's what I'm doing as I write this and boy does it feel good. It was all worth it!!!!!
Still a few things to tidy up and sadly I haven't had the time to wire in the surround speakers, but I will tmrw morning. Here's a few pics, going to do some proper shots with my SLR next week.

Great job - well worth it.

I am counting down the weeks until a major kitchen remodel late this summer and I hope it turns out as good as that looks.

Amazing! Really great job! Two thumbs way up!!

I like that mood-lighting TV surround. Can it be programmed to turn on automatically at night as a nite-light?

They will be arriving soon, but first I need to tell you all that I got a gorgeous baby son yesterday - Lenny. He's the reason ive done all this and worked 100 hour weeks for the past 6 months - and boy is he worth it.
