Come on Andrew. Pull the trigger buddy. Life is too short

I know I know. But it's like one of those things. We live in LA. We have the Hollywood sign, Grauman's Chinese, etc.etc.

My point: Always gonna be there! I'm too busy chasing after the other stuff. And the sad part is yes... life is too short but too many watches!

Fully understand my friend.

Been hunting for some new straps. Ordered two from different stores in Germany a couple weeks apart. Happened to have the Navi on today and they both arrived.

First is a relatively inexpensive strap I fell in love with when I first saw it on mah’s (now my) black dial Chronomatic – Di-Modell “Imperator.” watchbandcenter did a nice job locating a short strap even though they didn’t have one in stock. I even emailed Di-Modell and they couldn’t help. Can’t wait to try it on the CM as the darker edges seem to set off nicely the black on the bezel. Anyway, here it is on the Navi FWIW –

Next was a tough call. Since getting the Camille Fournet recently, I’ve become more and more interested in their straps. I really like watchstyle.com for these. They make one “Breitling-Style” at about $285. I wanted a black alligator to wear on the Navi, but something not quite as bulky as the OEM strap. Unfortunately the size choice for the CF was about 10mms longer than I would prefer – doable, but…. I opted for the Hirsch black alligator, about 1mm thinner than CF, somewhat more subtle stitching, but only 4mms longer than an OEM short. Also about $285. watchstyle is really good on shipping if you pop for the $20 DHL option – I ordered Tuesday, received it today (Friday). It is a very comfortable strap indeed. (CF makes some beautiful looking Python straps and there is honey one that has my attention)

@ Shark: here's one more option... It's the same strap from JLC I formerly had in brown... It comes in black too, which I recently found to fit the watch better. Cost is 310 CHF around here...

I have a spare black JLC same as yours and a short too. Unfortunately it is a 21mm. Grrrrr. It was from my MC Chrono 2.

The Di-Modell in the watch I bought it for. Not sure it wins over the brown OEM, but an interesting look IMO.

Shoot, back to backs of the same watch. I'll have to break out the blue dial Chronomat I got back yesterday from a new crystal add.

Fresh from the local Breitling spa and a new crystal. The old one seemed to have been polished in the center, removing the AR - perhaps someone's idea of how best to cover up an AR scratch? I could only see it rarely and in certain light, but knowing the imperfection was there drove me nuts.

New to me - saw it at the AD when I picked up the Chronomat from service yesterday.

Love that one. The rose TT is perfect on that watch. Love the hands on yours over the hands on the navi Olympus. Congrats!
