I'm not sure what it is you're asking - are you asking if you should let Movado replace the watch? If they're willing and you liked it enough, then why not?

Also, what do you mean by "rubber back"?

Some of the early versions of the Movado Series 800 had a rubber covering on the caseback. It was a known problem that many of the rubber backs would peel off.

Did Movado replace your rubber back with a solid steel caseback? Not sure I understand your post because it looks like your watch now has a steel Movado caseback now.

I think the Movado Series 800 is a nice piece. Quartz but still nice.

Sorry guys I didn't really go into great detail but yes they replaced it with a brand new stainless steel back, because as you said the rubber fell off. I am very satisfied with movado at this point at not charging me a dime on the repair. Also most of my watches are quartz do you recommend something other? I'm fairly new to the watch game and advice is always appreciated.

There's a pretty popular brand around here that starts with a B...

But seriously, this is a wonderful place to learn about a wide range of watches. Most folks around here prefer mechanical movements. Browse the various threads and you'll find there's virtually no end to the information.

I am pretty sure that Movado offered customers who had a rubber back the option to have it replaced with a new back (as far back as 3 years ago) because of the known problem with the rubber pealing off. I owned one four years ago, it was my 2nd watch; I've owned a few more now. It's a very solid watch and looks great on the wrist.

No, there are numerous watches other than the Colt which are quartz (Aerospace, Chronospace, Emergency etc). If in doubt best simply to check them via:

I'm afraid you've chosen one of the trickier brands to familiarize yourself with, given the overall range of models, as well as the rapidity with which Breitling introduces new models, discontinues old ones, and renames and/or redesigns existing ones. As such, there are no simple answers. Your best bet is to just hunker down and study for a bit. The models page Tom linked to is a good place to start.
