Hi i was wondering was it possible to purchase a book similar to the glasses guide for cars which would give you valuations on watches based on make age etc...

Nice idea, but unfortunately nothing like that exists AFAIK. I would imagine the overhead of keeping it updated it would prohibitive for any person or company to undertake, especially considering the far more limited audience than for used cars.

There is the Complete Price Guide to Watches publication each year, but that's a lot more useful for vintage pieces, and some of the numbers in it are highly suspect.

Apologies to the OP - I didn't think there was anything like that at all. I've certainly never come across that publication myself.....

never bought it myself, as reviews are very, very mixed - to put it mildly: concentrating on vintage wrist and pocket watches,
probably not what the OP had in mind.
