Hey guys that colt i bought doesn't really glow in the dark to well, which I hear is common with older watches. Do you know how much it would cost to get redone? Thanks Kyle

There's no reason why the lume should need redoing. The lume is SuperLuminova which doesn't age, but Breitling is not known for having amazing lume. If you get it redone then you will likely have to go aftermarket and that can be problematic because then Breitling may refuse service.

Not necessarily. You need to be familiar with super luminova before you decide that it doesnt work. First off, it needs bright light (preferably sunlight) to become charged. Secondly, it only appears to be "bright" for a few minutes after a charge. Your eyes take a long time to adjust to darkness, so if you go into a dark room with your watch, it might not seem bright because your eyes have not yet adjusted to the darkness.

Do this: Charge it up under a very bright lamp before you go to bed. A few hours into your sleep, wake up and look at your watch with the lights off, and see if its legible. If it is, your lume is fine.

Hands are not that expensive - they're replaced at every service.

Yeah, but you can't replace hands without opening the case, which means a service and suddenly those hands are getting pricey.
