It took only a day or so to get used to mine. Your mind just seems to adjust so that there's barely any difference in reading the time. I'd say go for it.

Never gave them too much thought, but wish I had earlier since I'm on 24 hr "military" time anyway. But since I'm retiring in the next year or two, I probably won't pick one up. Love that Cossie though! :lingsrock:

I've never used one, but I think I would find a true 24-hour dial annoying. I would imagine I'd have to constantly take an extra few seconds to "decode" the position of the hands, rather than knowing at a glance what they are telling me. That said, a 12-hour dial with a 13 - 24 scale on it (like what Rick was showing) is something I personally find very useful. I spend a lot of time reading police reports, and get a little weary always having to subtract 12 from the times they're showing. (You would think I'd know military time by now, but no.) Being able to use my watch to correlate the military time to the 12-hour time would be useful. Unfortunately, there are very few watches I like that have this feature. I do consider it a selling point, though.
