OMG!! What can I do at this point?? This guy has super high feedback and an appraisal. By reporting this, will eBay cancel the transaction or do I have to jam this guy up?! Thanks everyone for the input. I thought I was smarter than this.....

Assuming you have already paid? If that's the that case, speak to the seller first. If he's legit, he'll be embarrassed and should cancel without hesitation. If he proves unhelpful contact Ebay and explain the situation.

I hope so! I just sent the seller a message. I hope he doesn't try to short change me... It looks totally legit, maybe it is, and he's the one with the legit serial number???? What are the tell tale signs that's it's a fake other than the bogus/common serial number?

No, the watch also has other telltales of a fake such as the date is sunken and has the wrong font.
Try and avoid getting the seller to send you the watch as there is no point in checking it hands-on. Its fake period.

The watch that you bought is fake, completely, totally, 100%.

Just look at the date font / date wheel and compare it with a real one.

From experience, I wouldn't use a jeweller's appraisal to wipe my arse. I doubt that jeweller is a Breitling AD. They are not listed as such on their own or Breitling's website.

Correction: They are an AD, I was looking in the wrong state. Sent them a message, incase the appraisal is forged.

Thanks again for all the input. I sent an email to the seller and hopefully he'll do the right thing. I cannot believe I got duped like this..... Obviously not intentionally. As this seller has super high and legit feedback. Fn hell, I was hoping this was legit.....

It happens...in the future post first, then buy.

Could tell it was fake in about two seconds just by the date.

Excellent result.

For future reference, I would never buy a Breitling from anywhere other than my AD without having it vetted here first.

Re-reported this relisting (item 170856894024) and the 'same' fake from the other seller, item 330745582690.

It should be a no-brainer for Ebay :guns:

Edit: 330745582690 gone now, and 170856894024 ended

Right.....

Seller can be trusted to try and rip somone else off when he gets caught.

Relisting reported as "Relisting of #170856894024. Bezel, sliderule, caseback and date font wrong, date wheel is sunken."
