I stopped by an AD today to try on an IWC. They are also a Rolex dealer so I asked if they had received the new No-date Sub. As luck would have it, it had arrived this morning so I asked to see it. First impression -- it's a very good looking watch. The new ceramic bezel is a deep black with a glossy finish and the dial and markers are also quite nice. And, of course, it's built like tank. I was impressed. BUT, it seems so small. I'm sure I'd get used to it if I wore it long enough but it really looks small. Also, despite the fact that I had just tried on a much larger watch (44mm), I thought the Rolex didn't fit my small wrist as well because the lugs are so straight. Very little angle to them at all. In the end, I might have bought it but Wessa is on strike against Rolex and I won't cross his picket line.

[There was no chance I was going to buy it. The IWC on the other hand...]

Great to see a spirit of solidarity David :-)
There is however a ray of hope, it is not what you know but who you know. At least in this part of the world ;-)
More on that once the battle is won :guns:

No, I was in Neuchâtel that day. The dealer is Michaud. Very helpful sales staff. I don't think there is currently an IWC dealer in Montreux (assuming that's the Grand Rue you're referring to). I haven't been in the Rolex dealer there. How is it?

Very friendly and helpful, I would recommend it, especially for Rolex.
