You understand that it's easy and cheap if you go non official right?

Easy and cheap = Breitling won't do it. Yep...that sounds about right.

Aren't most, if not all, Breitling crystals coated on the outside and on the inside? I'd consider removing the AR coating with a Cape Cod, or similar, and seeing if that does the trick. That way you don't spend extra money on something you could possibly fix in a few minutes. Who knows; you may even like the results!

Correct about the double AR. A few people here have removed the outer coating and have been happy with the results.

And an FYI for anybody thinking about having it done on a Breitling: I spoke to Jack at IWW a while back and he mentioned that they can recoat it, but they DO NOT provide the service for crystals that are already coated, i.e. they do not remove AR coatings. This wouldnt be a problem if you were looking to have a Rolex coating applied, since there was no coating to begin with. His advice for Breitling: buy a new crystal from Breitling.
