No doubt about that. I don't know if people realise how much cheaper it can be. I'm not tight with money and I'm not skint either but if you can get a deal that good then why not! I had absolutely no probs in any aspect of purchasing or receiving my watch either, it did arrive a couple of days before they said it would so I can't complain. 10 days from purchasing to receiving! Not that bad at all.

You'd almost be better off buying from an out-of-state AD if you're buying in California. Why try to negotiate an extra 5-10% off if you're just going to pay most of it back in sales tax? The out-of-state AD would be the best route to go.

If someone were to find me an AD out of state where I would save an additional 8% I would go for it for sure.

An additional 8% off of the MSRP on say a SA with an MSRP of $4550 is $364. I think I can wait a day or two for a FEDEX truck ;)

I think the AD in NYC I PMed you info on might be a good place to start. Their discount is already so low, if you can get them any lower, they may pay you to take the watches. :woohoo:

I've got a list of other out-of-state dealers that offer good discounts, but the one in NYC offered the best discount by a pretty good margin.

Regarding the customs tax...

I am not sure if you guys may want to do this but its a thought...

I have shipped items to customers before out of the country and to get the customer to "by-pass" the customs tariff or tax you would have to claim the merchadise as "no value". As long as both parties are aware of what the pros and cons are there are usually no problems...but yeah...just thought that I would throw that in there.

That is cheaper, indeed, but you also have to remember two things:

First, if discovered, you'll have both financial and legal problems.

Second, if anything happens to your package and you've declared "no value" you will also get "no value" in compensation from the shipping company.

That's why I was shooting for a discount that is substantial enough that purchasers will not have to go through all these "back door" deals.

But at the moment Roffensian has this thread.

At the moment it sounds to be a pretty good opportunity. Lets see if this can work for us as well.

Sorry guys, I've been real sick the last few days, so here's an update.

I spoke to a couple more ADs and just need a list of models wanted. I think that some of you have already gone thru Roffensian's AD to take care of your order. So for those still interested in a possible GB, just post up your desired model or PM me. Thanks.

Rey
