US prices should actually be reduced by about 10.5% - the decline of the Swiss Franc to US$ ratio June11/June12, as stated above.

So, if prices are now raised by 7%, this translates into a currency adjusted price rise of about 19.5% in one year :wowzers

Oh you are killing me Fred. For me, Rolex has left the building.

It's funny how a lot of us were bitching about the latest Breitling price increased. We were saying they weren't worth buying and that they were moving into "Rolex" territory. Well, at least for now, Breitling is one again a better bargain than Rolex. LOL

BTW, so many of the Rolex guys on TRF are pissed, just like we were about last years 2 Breitling price increases. Some were saying they're moving over to Breitling and Omega because these are much more watch-for-the-dollor that Rolex.

It's all comical. As sharkman said about Rolex, I'm out also, at least buying new. All these brands which were relatively "affordable" 2 years ago are way out of my comfort zone today.

Hmm... I guess Omega can't be "too" far off Rolex. :guns:

I guess they had to figure out some way of paying for that new, $10,000,000+ ad.

A well known AD in Europe confirmed Omega's July 1st price increase however it's still uncertain if it's a worldwide increase or just limited to Europe.

Amen to that. Watch prices aren't bad but food, particularly in restaurants, is outrageous. The price of living in paradise...

There are sooo many things overpriced in Switzerland David. It is all linked to per capita income. Only thing they forgot is that per capita income is an average. And quite a few CEOs earn around $ 30. MILLION !!!! Or, $ 2.5 a month. MILLION.
