Hi

Just seen the new omega james bond, looks amazing the metal strap is a new look more sleeker and the pins are screws not push out like the normal pins on seamasters also the strap button on the clasp are slanted and sleeker not round, Also it looks smaller for the big version and the bullet on the back looks very detailed, At first I thought it would be bad looking but when I have seen it it looks amazing. When I was looking at it another person looked as well and they wanted to buy it so i put it away to pay on it. Also the box is black and not like normal omega boxes its better built and it has a magnetic lock and a presentation part for the watch to sit in. Ill post some pics soon.

Thank you. :D

I have read a lot of negative posts about it on another forum.
When I saw it in "flesh" I liked it and bought it.
Very pleased with it, no regrets.

Are you sure that's the price? I see the 41mm version is in a super limited edition of 11,007 while the 36mm version is limited to only 3,007.

It varies from country to country due to taxes but typically in the 5K range.

I like everything about it apart from the 007 logo across the dial.

I just think James Bond would prefer something more subtle.

What is interesting is that most advertising campaigns I've seen of this watch state that it has been worn by Bond since GoldenEye. However, to my knowledge it wasn't worn in Quantum of Solace. Only the Planet Ocean.

I actually find the logo quite subtle.
Most of the time it is hardly noticeable. It only becomes visible when the light reflects off the dial at a certain angle.

I was just at Nice Airport and they had them for €3 200.

It was a really really close purchase BUT then I remembered that my wife would've killed me. So no buy. But now you all know that they exist there at this price. Discount possible.

Passing by Hong Kong this weekend and for some strange reason ;-) I did the rounds of some watch shops including several Omega Boutiques that just seem to be on every street corner.
There were at least six of these on display in the boutique shop windows including another one at HK Airport where I got mine in the first place.
So it seems like no shortage of them here.

Congratulations, Joe. Thanks for the excellent pics. The box itself is really a work of art.
I must say it is a stunning watch! I was very impressed when I first saw it, and almost got the 36mm model. That one is actually designated on the Omega website as a Ladies' model. Not because of the size, but because of the diamond at 7 o'clock, instead of the usual marker.
I realize there are a lot of naysayers about the James Bond editions, but I still like them. This is probably the nicest one yet. It really has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. Sometimes the engraved "007"s on the dial are hardly visible, depending upon the light. The caseback is truly amazing as well.
Cheers,
Carl
