I've known about oris for a long time now. Never heard great things about their watches but nothing really bad either?

Anyway, as a guy with "big" wrists (8")I'm always on the hunt for larger diam watches and this puppy comes in at 49mm. Comes with bracelet and rubber and I believe a modified eta movement.

Any thoughts or info about the watch or brand would be great.

Oris are generally very good value, and they have a few fans here.

I haven't owned that model but I've seen it in person and thought it looked good. I like the regulator design and the case, which looked like a slightly larger version of the Carlos Coste LE diver I used to own.

Bear in mind that it won't wear large for 49mm. Oris divers generally look a bit smaller on the wrist than the case measurement would suggest, because they are narrower across the bezel than at the bottom of the case. My 47mm CC wore more like 44-45mm. Still a big watch though.

Yeah they seem like an awesome value. Looks like that watch sells for around $2300 street price with deals lower than that for lnib...... I don't think its cosc certified, which im not totally bent out of shape considering the price etc. Hopefully someone chimes in that has owned one

Not owned one myself, but there was a time when I was seriously considering one. Not a lot else to add to what Otto's said TBH. Great value and the regulator layout gives this watch a bit of added interest as well.

I am also a big fan of this model.

I tried one on ages ago but it looked stupid on my 6.5" wrists.

I also tried the 51mm Pro Diver on. Awesome watch but can you imagine how silly that looked on me?

Oris are using Sellita movements, not ETA - effecively the same as they are clones, but not the same perceived status. I've only ever had good experiences with them and as already said great value for money.

Ive owned this oris in the past and its a great watch, comes in a great pelican case. The one thing is it will not wear like a 49mm because of how there cases are, They are at there widdest at the caseback. It wears more like a 45-46mm IMO they are titanium so they are not a heavy watch but very compfortable on the wrist. the bracelet is realy nice and it comes with a rubber strap as well. All in all a great piece for the money.

I own the 44Mmm version and really love it. As mentioned, the titanium case makes it very light. It takes a little getting used to the configuration of the hour hand but that's part of the charm. These are a nice variation from a traditional diver and mine keeps perfect time.

I like Oris but have never been a fan of the small hour hand. I guess it's something you can get used to.

It's definately different. I'm thinking about getting one as a "beater" watch. Not necessarily to wear all the time, but when it's inconvenient/ not the best time to wear a SA etc....

They seem to be a real good value for the money,
