Collecting watches like cars etc is not a disease it's an AFFLICTION and I am proud to have it.My wife is happy that I don't collect women. That could be alot more expensive and deadly.

Need a shrugging shoulders emoticon.

I have had that experience on two occassions. I bought a Navitimer 01 and I tore open the FedEx box in anticipation and within 30 minutes it was packed back up and I was at the UPS Store shipping it back to the AD. Same happened with my IWC Galapagos, received and I actually sold it and shipped it within an hour of it's arrival.

72 is very light, I believe my count of 79 is light as well. I may have missed a few lings, and a Chopard? And possible another Tag and Omega or two? I would venture to say its in the mid 80's.

COME ON TOM, THE PEOPLE WANT TO KNOW!

Well a couple I didn't list; like the DSSD - I owned it for exactly 10 hours, hated it, and took it back for a GMTIIc and Seawolf. Or the Anniversary Chronomaster - 3 days and took it back and traded towards the Chronomaster Moonage. The Aerospace I had for a day and it became a NOS B1. Crosswind for 2 days and it became the BSBB. And the diamond bezel was a Cockpit for the love of God! :poke: So really, this list is largely overstated. As for the alleged missing ones, I know nothing.

.....and three new ones I've yet to announce here.

I retain the rights to edit this list as and when I remember others from my failing memory.

As for the other question that has arisen during this thread: I am up on what I have spent so far to what my collection is worth, but its not by much.

You know you're sick when you accidentally glance at some internet porn video (over someone's shoulder of course) and all you're interested in is the watches they're wearing.

Without going into cost, it is plain to see that I have a bit of a sickness for watch collecting, and most of them hardly got any wear.
The following is the list of previous watches up 'til now, and you can see the pattern: Chronographs and more chronographs!

Wow, I showed the lists on this thread to my wife to prove that I was relatively sane. "See, it could be worse!"

Here is my brief record of sin:
    Breitling Colt GMT
    Breitling Steelfish
    Breitling for Bentley Motors T
    Breitling for Bentley GT Two-Tone
    Steinhart "BreitlingSource" special edition Nav.B-Uhr
Steinhart "BreitlingSource" special edition Nav.B-Chrono "Mark II"
    Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic
    Dornblueth 99.1
    Louis Moinet Twintech
Zenith Chronomaster XXT Open Grande Date
    Panerai Ferrari FER010
    Panerai Ferrari FER006 18K
    Perrelet Chronograph Skeleton GMT 18K

I also bought a few for the wife that I am fairly proud of:
    Breitling Cockpit Chrono diamond bezel
    IWC Ingenieur midsize
    Zenith Open Heart El Primero
    Omega Speedmaster Schumacher LE

I have sold both Ferraris, the Dornbleuth and the Loius Moinet (and just put the Perrelet up for sale). The rest, I'm hanging onto as long as I can.

Holy crap, you guys!!! Don, and Sergio!! You guys blow my mind!!

Sergio, I found your "awards" list fascinating. Most surprising was the IWC Yacht Club as the "most underwhelming". I had that one on my list based on internet pics, and I actually felt a little underwhelmed when I finally saw one on vacation earlier this year, and I wasn't sure if it was just me at the time. Maybe now I can shake it out of my head.

Another one that's currently in my head is also on your list of previously owned watches... the JLC Navy Seals Chrono. May I ask what it was you didn't like about that one? Hopefully I can shake that one too, and save me a bundle!!

Cheers guys! Great forum.

Ross
