ok, hey is 25% off a pretty good deal?

Depends where you are. In Monaco it'd be unheard of. In the UK it'd be about as much as you could hope for. In the US it'd be fairly standard.

Yes, but this ad is only in watch mags AFAIK.

If that's true, then we get back to the earlier point that Breitling is directing a ridiculous statement at an audience that knows how ridiculous it is. If this thread is anything to go by, the talk is mostly, "Breitling is full of crap." I don't know if that's really what Breitling wants. Then again, I've long ago given up trying to figure out why this company does what it does.

I believe there is a watch forum with that attitude, maybe you will be more happy over there.

Can you back this up with any facts or is this just your opinion???

If I wanted to be at another forum, I would be; I'm not banned there. I understand not everyone can say the same.

What don't you understand about this whole topic NOT being a matter of fact, and you saying their opinion is wrong because it differs from yours is you saying exactly the same thing you are mad about them saying?

Well yes, apparently I stirred up a hornets' nest, but isn't this kind of thread what makes the forum great :huh

Animated discussion about things that we are passionate about - I don't see that as a bad thing. Most people engaged in this discussion have been here long enough to know that there are some strong personalities involved but nothing here has come close to having to be moderated. Not everyone shares my opinions and thank goodness for that, the last thing I want is a bunch of "I agree" posts (cue posts quoting this one and stating "I agree"), that would be dull as dish water.

Justin, you're trying to reason with an immature child. Because of pathetic posts filled with pointless, baseless attacks that certain trolls like mfserge seem to enjoy, I have slowly lost respect for this forum. I'm not sure what forum you speak off where he is banned but I have recently spent more time on 2 other watch forums and haven't seen any examples of this type of crap over there.

As for the Ad, I agree that it is very disappointing. What attracted me to Breitling in the first place was it's position as an affordable, versatile watch. Maybe it was always the AD's, and not the company, that did such a great job in positioning the brand and knowing where it's place was in the watch world (even against better brands that their stores didn't sell). I don't think any of the AD's I have dealt with would put that Ad up in their store.

That's because if you don't kiss up to the mod's and say how great and rosy everything is, then you get banned from those other forums.

So as soon as I say that there has been no need to moderate things go pear shaped.

Let's try and make this as clear as possible.......

I don't want to start moderating threads but there is absolutely no need for name calling or insults - in fact there are rules against it. Cut it out now - everybody - or I will take action. If you have already had a warning on this forum then you won't get another one, you'll be gone.
