To find a quality, vintage Breitling for around $400?

I am watching one on Ebay that I really like, but it's black and I would prefer brown.

It's nice to know there is hope and I might have a chance. Are there any other outlets besides Ebay?

And if the seller is in China then it's fake.

may I suggest to look at the watch first and at straps later ?
a very decent calf or lizard strap is around $30 - choose whatever you like,
let's find a decent, authentic watch first.

When I search, I only search in the US.

Doesn't matter where they come from if you know what you're looking at. Got one from the UK last week and one from Hungary this week. I buy from wherever I think there's a reasonable chance it will show up.
