Can anyone please assist regarding the above models? I know that cosmetically they were changed in 2010, but I want to be sure I'm getting a newer model as I'm about to buy this watch any day now. The dealer has said that the instruction book still has Avenger Skyland on it, but that the watch is the new version. Is this right? And how do I tell the difference between the older and newer model?

Thanks in advance.

Skyland has white painted stencil numerals. the avenger has polished silver numerals and is also available with batons.
later versions also has swiss made on the dial not sure the skyland ever did. mine hasn't.

Thanks for the information. Did Breitling issue an updated instruction book for the model? I am fairly certain that the dial has Swiss Made on it, but the booklet says Avenger Skyland. Thanks again.

I think that it's the same instructions - at least for a while.

If you're worried about how old/new the watch is get the 4-digit number between the bottom lugs and you can date it precisely.

I bought the newer Avenger last August from an AD and it had the Skyland manual. No worries!
